FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Apple serial number?
On iPhone: Settings > General > About. On Mac: Apple menu > About This Mac. On iPad: Settings > General > About. On Apple Watch: Settings > General > About. It is also printed on the original product box.
How long does Apple warranty last?
All Apple products include a 1-year limited warranty. AppleCare+ extends iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods to 2 years. AppleCare+ for Mac covers 3 years. In the EU, Apple devices carry a 2-year legal warranty regardless of AppleCare+ purchase.
What does AppleCare+ cover that the standard warranty doesn't?
AppleCare+ adds accidental damage coverage (up to 2 incidents per 12 months subject to service fees), extended duration, and 24/7 priority access to Apple Support. The standard warranty only covers manufacturing defects and provides 90 days of phone support.
How do I buy AppleCare+?
AppleCare+ can be purchased within 60 days of the original device purchase. Buy it through the Apple Store app, apple.com, at an Apple Store in person, or by calling Apple Support. For iPhone, it can also be added as a monthly subscription.
Can Apple repair my device if the warranty has expired?
Yes. Apple offers out-of-warranty repair service through Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers. Repairs use genuine Apple parts. Costs vary by device and repair type — out-of-warranty pricing is published on Apple's support site.
